The Stupendous Superdog and Himanjali Sankar delighted two groups of year five children and their teachers in The Cambridge Junior School, Noida today. The children discussed which books they love and which animals they have or would like to have as pets. They enthusiastically gave their favourite animals superpowers. The children’s imaginations soared as a horse became a unicorn, cats could fly, goldfish began to speak and a dog spread peace around the world. Himanjali shared videos and stories of her own super dog, the inspiration for her Stupendous Superdog books and encouraged the children to use what they know and what they see and hear around them as a starting point for their own stories and poems. The session finished with the Stupendous Superdog song and lots of brilliant questions and answers.
