Kutumb Foundation’s team performed Ramleela for the second time as a part of Bookaroo in the city. This time at the request of the Delhi Public Library, they were at Shahdara Blind School.  There were about 20 Children belonging to the age group of 8-16. Children were thrilled with the occasional songs that Rama, Sita, Lakshmana sang and they excited joined the chorus. They were pained by Jatayu’s groan, surprised by Surpanakha’s shriek, scared by Ravana’s evil laughter. The performance group from Kutumb Foundation had the children captivated. The children adequately responded to certain dialogues when the musical-drama was in progress. The Ramleela episode came to a close after a joint song by the children as well as the performers.

The session however continued for a little longer. The children were energized and thrilled. They performed some of the items of their own enactments. Some of them narrated stories while other sang songs. The children admitted that they had a wonderful time but they missed Meghnad and few of the other characters and requested if a Mahabharata session can be organized another time.
