Tuesday 11 November dawned and it was a little cold but as soon as I reached the author, Sharada Kolluru’s house the cold was chased away by the warm smile with which she welcomed me. Sharada was taking her story about Korika, the wish fulfilling kite to share with the children of the Nursery School at LADY IRWIN COLLEGE, SIKANDARA ROAD.
The real fun began when Sharada started her story. Who doesn’t want his or her wish fulfilled? Surely everyone wants that? The children were curious about the story and how the kite fulfilled the wishes. The author involved the students in the story by asking the sounds of different things like the sound of water and how does it flow? What is the crop sound when wind blows through it? The author was a fantastic narrator and children thoroughly enjoyed it. it was a session of full knowledge about our own wishes and lots of fun. it was a great experience for all of us. i thanked author, the school, and last but not least, the wonderful children
